Come and party with us!

Our fabulously themed parties run for two hours. Enjoy 75 minutes of fun on the playframe followed by delicious party food in a themed room of your choice! Our centres cater for little ones with designated play areas, so younger siblings can enjoy the fun too. Choose a disco, circus, fire station or submarine theme among others. Some of our party rooms have their own patio space to enjoy, as well. Note that themes and facilities differ at each playcentre.

What To Expect

You’ll find full party information in our website party FAQ’s, but here’s a handy guide to help you plan for your special 2-hour party celebration.

  • Please arrive promptly. Don’t forget your guest list!
  • On arrival, head to the party meeting point, where your host will help guests store belongings. Avoid the queue in our Brentford branch by heading straight to the Party Guest Entrance.
  • All guests must wear socks please.
  • You will then be shown to your designated party table where squash and water will be served
  • Let the fun commence! Children will enjoy 75 minutes of jam-packed fun and adventure.
  • Time to eat! Your host will make an announcement for guests to gather, ready to head into your fabulously themed party room for 45 minutes, where guests will enjoy delicious party food and drinks.
  • Many of our party rooms have the facility to play music. We have a popping playlist! If you’d like to play your own, just have your playlist ready on your mobile and let your party host know. Visit our party information on our website to find out which rooms have music facilities.
  • If you’re bringing a cake, don’t forget the candles (non-sparkler) and please tell your party host, in advance, when and how you’d like it to be served (in case you’d like guests to take cake home please bring in containers. We can only provide serviettes). Please note, we’re unable to store cakes requiring refrigeration.
  • Before the 45-minute mealtime is up, your party host will assist you in preparing your guests for the end of the party.

The facilities on offer at Snakes & Ladders are designed to encourage children to play, explore and test their limits at their own pace.

Our sessions, dedicated to children aged 0-12 years with special educational needs or disabilities provide a relaxed atmosphere where families can connect.

Exclusive Hire

At Snakes & Ladders, you can hire one of the three playcentres for your exclusive use. The centre will be at your sole disposal for the duration of your hire period. This is great if you are planning a birthday party and know that you will want to invite lots of guests. Perfect for corporate events, family events, school groups, mini sports clubs and religious communities who want exclusivity while the children play.

Space Escape Experience

Join us at Snakes and Ladders, Dunstable for our brand new Escape Room Experience specially designed for children aged 6 and over.

You have been travelling through space for some time returning from an interplanetary mission and there has been an accident aboard. All the ship’s systems have been affected but the captain has been injured and can’t provide the override codes to the systems. Can you solve the puzzles to get the captains code’s to regain control of the ship before disaster strikes? You have 1 hour.

Party FAQs

The party lasts for 2 hours. Enjoy 75 minutes of fun on the playframe, followed by 45 minutes in a themed party room of your choice where your party feast will be served! VIP Disco parties at our Dunstable centre includes 45 minutes of play, 30 minutes of disco and 45 minutes meal time.

The minimum number of children for parties is 10, including the birthday child. The maximum number of children depends on the chosen party room. You can check the party room number here at each location. BrentfordDunstableAbingdon

A £50 deposit is required to secure the party booking. The deposit is non-refundable 21 or less days before the date of the party. The balance is due 4 days prior to your party when exact final numbers must be confirmed.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any specific dietary requests or changes to our standard menu. Please ask a member of our team who can provide allergen information for both prepacked and non-prepacked party food and drink. We use many ingredients and shared equipment in our kitchens every day. Whilst we do our best to manage the cross contamination of ingredients, we cannot guarantee that our food meets allergen-free levels. Information on our food in relation to the 14 ingredients regarded as allergens by the Food Standards Agency is available on request. We recommend that party guests with food allergies or intolerances bring in their own food for consumption. This food should be stored in a sealed and labelled container and must remain the responsibility of the child’s accompanying adult. The accompanying adult is responsible for managing any food consumed by any guests with allergies, intolerances or food hypersensitivities at all times.

Your confirmed final number is the minimum number you will be charged for, except where there are less than the required minimum of 10 children. Additional guests will be charged the cost per head of your party. While we shall endeavour to cater for unexpected guests, please be aware that this may not always be possible.  If additional food and table space cannot be provided, additional guests will be charged at our standard entry tariff applicable at the time of the party, as long as capacity allows.  Payment for additional guests must be made at the time of entry.

Unfortunately once numbers are confirmed, we will not provide a refund for any no shows on the day.

No they are not. Babies under 1 year are admitted free so please do not include them in your party guest numbers. Babies under 1 year will not therefore receive a party meal. If you do wish for a guest under the age of 1 to be included in the party and to receive party food, then please do include them within your numbers.

You can cancel your party and receive your deposit back 3 weeks or more before the party. Your deposit is non-refundable 21 or less days before the date of the party, however we can arrange for the deposit to be used for a future party held within a year of the initial booking.

We align our prices with state school term dates.

Children over the age of 12 are classed as adults and are not permitted on the play equipment.

Each party group will be allocated one table and four chairs.  We regret that we are unable to provide additional seating for more than four adults.  Additional seating may be available elsewhere in the building.  As we have limited capacity for accompanying adults we allow only one free adult per party guest. We recommend a ratio of one adult for every 5 children attending. For the comfort of all party guests and to aid sufficient space, we recommend that the number of adult guests in party rooms is limited to 4 (not including our party hosts).

We provide plates, cutlery, cups and napkins and your party food. We regret we can’t allow your own decorations or party poppers as they may cause damage to our rooms. We do not provide plates or containers for your birthday cake, however serviettes will be available.

Party food and drinks are provided for the children. You can also choose to add adult sandwich and cake platters as an extra treat for the grown-ups! Apart from a birthday cake, no food or drinks may be brought in or consumed on the premises (please see separate FAQ regarding special dietary requirements). We advise that birthday cakes brought onto the premises should not require refrigeration and should be from a reputable baker/cake maker or a supermarket, with an accompanying list of ingredients and allergens highlighted. Homemade cakes may be supplied and served by you to your guests within the party room, however, in all circumstances the named adult customer is responsible for managing any food consumed by any guests with allergies, intolerances or food hypersensitivities at all times. We do not provide plates or containers for your birthday cake, however serviettes will be available.

Our party meals aren’t Halal but we do offer a vegetarian party meal option.

Party rooms are in constant use on busy days, hence the use of the room is restricted to the final 45 minutes and thereafter rooms must be vacated.

The adult accompanying the children should pay standard admission for the sibling on arrival. If they fail to do so, as the party host you will be responsible.

Our party staff are there to assist you in the smooth running of your party and should not be viewed as entertainers.
